"This project has an investment of about 200 million yuan ($29.04 million), and we will establish the Bitzer China Research and Development Center based on the construction of this experimental building," said a representative from Bitzer.

A manufacturer of refrigeration compressors, Bitzer, since settling in Beijing E-Town, has been continuously upgrading its core products in terms of research and development and production.

With the introduction of the "carbon peak" and "carbon neutrality" targets, Bitzer has further developed corresponding products for Chinese customers and put investment and construction of the Bitzer R&D Center experimental building on the agenda.

After the completion of this project, the first floor will be used for screw product testing and prototype production, and the second floor will be used for scroll and piston product testing, and will provide specialized testing services for independent research and development.

This has become another landing project for Bitzer's continued increase in capital and expansion of production in Beijing E-Town in recent years.

Since 2020, from the construction of training centers to the introduction of advanced technologies, the company has promoted environmental protection concepts and natural refrigerant products to the industry through training, guidance, and application, and further expanded the Bitzer product range.

"With this ceremony as a new starting point, we expect construction of the R&D Center experimental building to officially start this month and be completed in 2024, helping Bitzer become a more comprehensive smart factory." said the representative.
