Perfect way to spend holiday in Beijing E-Town

Updated: 2023-05-05

Beijing E-Town's parks and commercial areas were filled with relaxing festival vibes on May 2.

In the park, you can appreciate the beauty of nature, watch the reflections of geese in the shimmering waves, and fly kites in the spring breeze. While in the commercial area, you can taste a variety of cuisines from all over the world and fill up your shopping cart.

At 9:30 am, visitors in the Nanhaizi Park's peony garden were already aiming their cameras at the blooming peonies, capturing the elegance and beauty of the flowers.

Accompanied by flocks of waterbirds, visitors also indulge in views of the lake inside the park.

"Look, the pair of wild geese are spreading their wings, get ready to take a picture!" "The wild ducks are resting, don't disturb them, kids." People were mesmerized by the reflections of the wild geese in the water, chatting quietly or spending quality time with their families.

At 11:30 am, visitors trooped to Longfor Paradise Walk in Beijing E-Town, looking for delicious lunch.

With so many options to choose from, including cuisines from Shandong, Sichuan, Cantonese culture, Anhui, Northwestern, Shanghai, food from Japan, Korea, Mediterranean, and Southeast Asia, there were always groups of people deciding which cuisine to try in front of every restaurant.

At 2 pm, the temperature had risen to 29 degrees Celsius. In parks such as the International Enterprise Culture Park, E-Town Binhe Forest Park, and Boda Park, visitors could escape the scorching sun under the shade of lush trees and smell the fragrance of flowers wafting in the air.

In the International Enterprise Culture Park, the wind also brought the sound of whistling windmills. Kite enthusiasts, not afraid of the sun, were busy catching the tail of the holiday and sending their kites into the sky.

During the May Day holiday, Beijing E-Town's major parks and attractions saw a surge in visitors, with the number doubling.

As of 3 pm on May 2, the Nanhazi Park had an average of nearly 30,000 visitors per day during the holiday, with 36,000 visitors on May 1.

In addition, the daily average number of visitors to Boda Park and E-Town Binhe Forest Park also doubled, reaching 3,000 and 8,000 people, respectively."
